the Jewish sabbatical year

One thing Israel does that no other country does: Shmita, the Jewish sabbatical year, is a "time to see ourselves not in terms of what we do, but what we are and even what we could become."

In Judaism, a sabbatical year is the name of the seventh year of the seven-year cycle. This year the people of Israel were commanded to keep the rest of the land.

the rest will start from a large part of the agricultural fields in September of this year, 2021 in the Land of Israel, and according to Jewish norms, the fruits of the harvest must be left to whoever wants to pick them and nothing must be planted until the next sowing season.
